Restored architect-designed wall greenhouse

The restoration of the architect-designed wall greenhouse at Rössjöholm was a challenging but incredibly inspiring task. Located in the beautiful Munka Ljungby in southern Sweden, this project was not only a pure renovation but also a recreation of history and a modern adaptation for the future.

Our brief was to replace the old wall greenhouse with a new structure that would fit in with the existing foundation and building, while also providing a usable space for family and friends. Working closely with our client and skilled builders, we were able to find a technically and aesthetically pleasing solution that exceeded our clients’ expectations. We made changes and additions to the design, including a centered entrance area and a wall with a matching door to create separate rooms. We also installed doors on the existing gables for easy access.

The existing wall had an uneven surface of old brick, which required careful adaptation. We chose a gorgeous salmon pink brick for the floor, which was then followed up into the walls to harmonize with the surroundings. Outside, a beautiful garden was planned surrounded by high hedges and grazing sheep, creating an idyllic setting around the new greenhouse. This project was not just a pure renovation but a re-creation of history with a modern twist, and it was an honor to be a part of it.
